Spiffy Studio · last updated 30 October 2026

Spiffy Studio is a private tool its owners use to make animated explainer videos and publish them to their own YouTube channels. It is not offered to the public. This page says what Spiffy Studio does with data, in particular what it gets from Google when a YouTube channel is connected.

What we get from Google

When you connect a YouTube channel, you allow two things:

  • See your YouTube account (youtube.readonly): used to read which channel you connected (its id, name and picture) and the state of videos we uploaded for you.
  • Manage your YouTube videos (youtube.upload): used only to upload a video, with its title, description, tags, thumbnail and privacy setting, when you press Upload in Spiffy Studio. Nothing is uploaded on its own.

We don't ask for, read or keep your email, contacts, comments, subscribers or any other Google data.

What we keep and how

  • The connected channel's id, name and picture, and the videos we uploaded to it.
  • The sign-in Google gives us (access and refresh tokens), encrypted (AES-256-GCM) on our own server. It is never shown, logged or sent to a browser.

Everything is stored on a server the owners run themselves, reachable only from their private network.

Sharing

We don't sell, rent or share Google user data, and we don't use it for advertising or to train AI models. It goes only to Google, to do what you asked. Spiffy Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

To make a video, the topic and script are sent to the AI services that write, draw and voice it (Anthropic, Venice, ElevenLabs, Google Gemini). No YouTube data is sent to them.

Disconnecting and deleting

Disconnect a channel on its page in Spiffy Studio: we ask Google to cancel the sign-in and delete the stored tokens and channel record. You can also remove access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Videos already on YouTube stay there until you delete them on YouTube.

YouTube

Spiffy Studio uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's use of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
